The Lexington School welcomes students from a variety of backgrounds who can benefit from a challenging scholastic program and who will contribute to the School's academic vitality. Preschoolers enter after an informal readiness screening and a conversation between our Director of Admission and the parents. For the later grades, we evaluate applicants on the basis of teacher recommendations, testing, and previous school transcripts. A student can apply at any time; as long as we have vacancies, we accept students throughout the year.

Tuition, which includes a daily lunch and required textbooks, varies according to the student's year in school; we offer tuition insurance and a monthly payment plan. A subscriber to SSS, School and Student Services for Financial Aid, the School typically awards need-based financial aid to approximately 23% percent of the student body.

The Lexington School admits students of any race, color, or national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, financial aid programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
